GREETINGS IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
Hello everyone, a shorter newsletter this time. I have had a few busy weeks. I had an engagement to meet a gentleman who has some land for sale which was interesting, and as I just finished the meeting and got into the car to drive home, my phone rang. I noticed the number on the phone was a local number. I quickly pulled over to the side of the road to answer it and was surprised to hear Joy from Korea, - she has a coffee shop here and makes pizzas. She said she was walking down the street in Mbale when she saw a Muzungu (a white person) and asked her where she was from. Her name was Dr Suzy and she was from Wales. Being inquisitive, Joy asked her what she was doing in Mbale. The lady said that she was there to help the street kids. Joy was quite excited and mentioned to her that there was another lady down in Kumi called Sandra King who was doing the same thing and was preparing for the children.
They swapped numbers and Dr Susie rang me right away. When she spoke to me, her first words to me were; “Thank God you’re here I’ve been waiting for you!”
I said to her - “It’s good to meet you too”.
She told me that she had had a meeting with the King of Mbale and explained to Him the plight of the homeless and the street kids.
Dr. Suzy immediately invited me to come up to the party that they were having for the King. She was enthusiastic and suggested that maybe we could work out something together to help the needs of the street kids.
I was very excited to be given the invitation by Susie. When she rang me from Mbale and said you must come, I just knew that I must go.
I arranged for a student to take me to Mbale on the Tuesday afternoon around one o’clock. It took an hour to get there. We first visited the tourist Eco-Nature Park and we then enjoyed a walk around the zoo.
I was in real need of water, so we went into the restaurant where we were staying. It was there that I was introduced to Geoff an Ambassador from England. He bought a team of six people with him. Accommodation and all food were paid for.
We went and freshened up a bit in our rooms which were round and large.
When we arrived back at the restaurant we waited a few minutes for the King to arrive.
The King sat down at my coffee table and had a cup of tea or coffee.
I managed to talk to him for a few minutes about the homeless or the street kids. They say there are about 300 street kids but I’m sure there’s more than that.

After a while I went into the entertainment room to see the concert, which was put on for the King.
Geoff, the ambassador was sitting with the King. They were watching the performance the girls were doing, it was amazing as they were very talented
After about half an hour they stopped dancing so then we went around the room taking photos of ourselves with the King.
The King saw me, and as I pointed to my chest and then to him, he nodded and said yes come. I went and I sat down and had a photo taken with him.

The ambassador stood up and addressed the people and thanked the team that came from England, he made a good speech. The King was seated and spoke of how good it was that the people came from England to help.
Suzy presented the King with a card from all of us. Shortly afterwards we went into the restaurant. The King was seated at the table waiting for the food that was brought to him, then once he had his, we were motioned to come and sit at the table as well.
I've never been introduced to a King or shaken a King’s hand or had a meal with a King at the King’s table, it was surreal, and indeed a blessing.
In the beginning they said that the King might come, but this was more of a security thing - (not confirming if he would be there or not).
It was amazing as at the table I got a lot of contacts from the people who were there.
I just thank God that I didn’t know that King was going to be there as if I had have known, I would have been worried about what I was going to wear but as it was, I just wore a Plain dress.
I never thought I would ever and stand before a king, although many years ago the Lord had told me that I would stand among high-ranking officers.
Proverbs 22:29. “Do you see a man diligent in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.”
It was about 9 p.m. when the King stood, in respect we all stood up as he was leaving.
I slept right through to 4:30 a.m. We had met so many people at the dinner that we wanted to catch up with them the next day.
First, I met up with Robbie Keen he is from England, but now he lives in Africa. It was amazing to hear his testimony. He has been gifted fifty treadle sewing machines to teach the girls a trade to get them off the streets.
When I heard what he is doing on such a huge scale, I told him I’m doing the same thing but one by one. I gave one sewing machine to a girl, a fishing rod and nets to a boy to fish, and a small oven to a family so they can make cupcakes and sell them.

But I did tell him that the God said to me:
“If you think what you’ve done in China is anything, it’s nothing compared to what I’m going to do in and through you in Africa, it’s going to go all over Africa.”
We went to see the place called Loved, and at the end we said goodbye to our guide.
He got to take me to work back home and we took off back to home again we got the petrol station we ended up getting some petrol and having a Rolex And then we carried it on home When I got home I gave him 150 but he said it was too much and he only wanted a 50 but I gave it to him and said give it guilty for me give it to mother and he did so we just pray so Lord for that OK looking for I think it’s just fine we didn’t get home until about 4:00 in the afternoon And I was very tired.
One of my favourite verses in the Bible is Exodus 33:14 where God says to Moses I will personally go with you and give you rest.
“And He said, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’”
What a powerful verse. Moses had been wandering in the wilderness for many years with the Israelites and while it might seem that Moses was exhausted and needed to take a nap or get some type of physical rest this is not the rest God was speaking of. He was speaking to a supernatural spiritual rest that can only come in the presence of God.
That word rest is a powerful word it is one that speaks to being settled, of dwelling, of being with, to be in a settled secure dwelling place. I find it interesting that is in alignment with Gods plan.
BIBLE VERSE
“Sing to the LORD a new song; Sing to the LORD, all the earth. Sing to the LORD, bless His Name; Proclaim good tidings of His salvation from day to day. Tell of His glory among the nations, His wonderful deeds among all the peoples. For great is the LORD and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods. For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. Splendour and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty are in His sanctuary.” Psalm 96:1-6
