Family, friends, and supporters – greetings in the name of Jesus Christ.

1 Peter 1:15-16 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: “Be holy,
because I am holy.”
This newsletter is going to be longer than usual because I have been so busy.

Missionary Visa has been received!
I am so delighted that I have finally received the missionary visa for three years. It was like all the hard
work and all of the battles that I had gone through instantly fell off me and I was free! I felt so light and I
did nothing but laugh as there was a huge release of all the tension. Praise God! I’m just in awe of Him in
his perfect timing. My next-door neighbour, Mary - who is also my secretary- and her daughter, Amy, and I
celebrated the 3-year visa with a pizza and apple juice.

I’ve been so busy since I’ve been home: I have been looking at options for company T-shirts and cars. Mary
is looking for furniture to set up for the office.

God is sending helpers
Some Chinese students, that are here learning English, visited me and cooked a lovely lunch for us all. They
told me about a sister in China who wants to come over and volunteer to help me do the admin including
volunteer applications. She will help me with the computer work, and printing and filing as well as getting
other things ready. I think she should be arriving around the end of October and is a long-term volunteer.
In the meantime, they arranged a time for us to zoom so we could meet one another and chat. I felt it was
a wonderful meeting and I it was really good that she comes from a family that loves and serves God.
Praise the Lord that this is another answer to prayer.

The above photo was taken after church, with John Gong (on the right) who is a church leader, with the
team that was with him. John is preparing teams to go out into Uganda to work as volunteers. He is also
preparing for volunteers from southern China to come and help me. The lady on the left, as well as John
Gong, are going back to China. The guy with the white shirt is a cook named Kevin.

This photo above was taken some weeks back. Kevin, is on the left. He works as a chef 200km north of
Kampala, and cooks for 800 people in a huge Chinese complex. Kevin is a true blessing and is always
checking to see if I need anything. The other two are husband and wife who live here permanently and are
here to learn English.

April, who I mentioned last newsletter, is from Qingdao, China, and is an amazing woman. The Lord has put
it on her heart to come to Uganda to spy out the land like I did in 2024. She is planning on coming back
either this year or next year. I found out that she is a pastor in Qingdao. We really need your prayers
because she has actually just left to fly back to Qingdao where she will then pray and ask the other pastors
at her church if she is meant to come back.

I’m quietly believing that God will bring her alongside me to continue this work. Please keep her in your
heart to pray for. Only God can do this.

Going back to China
Mary and Kens daughter, who’s 13, has gone back to Qingdao, China and so we had photos done before
she left.

It is no coincidence that Mary and Ken just happened to be living next door to where I am. Firstly, because
they are Chinese and Mary doesn’t speak much English, it is very good for me and my Chinese.

It wasn’t long before our friendship developed because the Lord had ordained it. Ken, her husband, works
at Chinatown and he works very long hours. They really do need your prayers.

Ken wanted to do Bible study and he just didn’t have the time. So, every morning he comes to my place
between 6. 30 and 7am. It’s a big commitment and usually Mary his wife will come and sit too if the door
is left open. He reads the Bible in English and I know God is blessing them. Mary has become my secretary
and helps me with many things in preparation of the setting up of the office. Amy is 5 years old and they
are praying about her going to an international school.

Another amazing story
Last Saturday, John Gong wanted to meet his friend, Pastor Solomon, of the Kingdom Reality Church in
Kampala. So, my driver John and I took him.

This was a meeting of the saints, and as it often is when we meet one another, we have this feeling of awe
of being in one another’s presence along with the presence of Jesus. It was not long before Pastor George,
head Pastor of the Light Embassy Church joined us as well, as John my driver, goes to that church.

It was an amazing meeting because all of us had something to do with China, and it was a gathering of
saints giving witness to each other about Jesus.

We had a light lunch together and prayed. I was blessed because Pastor Solomon said that he would like
me to come to his church that Sunday and preach, and then Pastor George said that he would like me to
go to his church the following Sunday. Again, I’m blessed.

When the pastor said to pray for each other. When we all laid hands on one another, and then on Pastor
Solomon, the glory of God came down on me, and I could not stand up properly, and I changed into this
laughing, uncontrollably joyful person. We all were so full of the Holy Spirit, and George had to help me to
a chair to sit down.

As we later walked out to the car, I was prophesying that the churches would be so full that they couldn't
get in the doors. I saw them way out of the gate on the roadside, lining up.

1 Samuel 10:6 - The Spirit of the LORD will come powerfully upon you, and you will prophesy with them;
and you will be changed into a different person.

But you know that the uncontrollable laughing, the joy of the Lord is such a wonderful thing. It is not our
plan, it is not our timing and it’s not about us. It’s about when the Holy Spirit decides to do something
unbeknown to us. We are who we are, just as we are. How truly amazing He is to cut through all the
formalities and gets to the real heart of the issue, as we are listening and being obedient to Jesus.

Now this is a continuation of what God had already planned from the beginning, and this is how it began.
It’s another story that started many, many years ago, and how this how the story started. When the Lord
says to me, “Write down everything I tell you.” I did, and I still do.

Habakkuk 2:2- Then the LORD replied: Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a
herald may run with it.
Exodus 24:4a - Moses then wrote down everything the LORD had said.

I will never forget the words the Lord has spoken to me, as He reminds me when it is about to happen and
that’s when I know I’m in His will. After all, it’s His plan, isn’t it?
So now the Lord says to me, “This is George.”

I ask the Lord, “Who?”

Then my mind went right back to when the Lord said to me, “I will send George who will help you.”
And now!! The Lord says that this is George.
Wow, Wow! He told me this way back then, when I lived in Hawera, Taranaki in New Zealand. And long
before my time in China and Africa.

The Lord knew what he was doing as it was planned many years ago, so I take joy today, to tell you this
plan and that the Lord has for it, is already set it in action.
It has just happened! Exactly what the Lord said would happen, has happened.
Pastor George has found two or three pieces of land. One three-acre lot has a house on it. The other three
acre is a farm. The arrangement was he would take us there for a viewing on Tuesday 17th September.
The first plot I walked onto the land and asked the Lord if there was anything about the land? The Lord
said, “Tribal disputes and paper, but it’s a small thing.”

I told them all they’re what the Lord had said and the owner of the land said, “I didn’t want to tell you.
but now that you’ve mentioned it, yes, that it is true about the tribe and the paper dispute but it’s a small
thing.

Isn’t God good how He leads us to do what he wants, and reveals what’s in the dark to bring it out into the
open?

We saw two of the plots each was three acres and I was happy to see the land is covered with coffee trees,
as well also cinnamon and guava trees. There was a cottage on one plot, and a house on the other. We are
praying for God’s Will to be done regarding the purchase of one plot. Please pray for this.

We have bought a car!
We bought a car praise the Lord. It is a six-seater Toyota Alphard, and they gave us a new air con too which
is good and very much needed. Also, we got a new battery and the car had an oil change. The logo was put
on, and it’s now we have free advertising. We bought the car through a car sales company called, Success
Car Sales, here in Kampala. They looked after us so well. The car has been registered in the company’s
name, A Kiwi’s house of Aroha.

Sponsorships and funds for the orphanage
We are in the process some tee shirts being printed with the logo to bring in some money to support the
home, along with the sales of my books. I am out of English books, so every day I ask the Lord if should get
any printed. I still have not received an answer yet, but as soon as I do, I will order them from a printer
here in Kampala.

Daydream Home, Kampala
I had Derrick take my friends, John and a sister from China, and drove two hours to the north west of
Kampala, the visit went well and we saw many children - about 15 in the home.
Pray for the people in charge that they will do the very best for the children in their care.
After giving them the gifts, a bag of rice and a big container of biscuits and a lot of bread rolls, we went
into their lounge and talked a bit. I gave the children ballons, pencils and all-day-suckers, and then it was
time for photos! I had photos taken with all the children and was happy to pray for them all.

I took time to hug each one as the Lord had instructed me to do, and say, “Jesus loves you and so do I.” It was an emotional time for some as they experienced the love of the Lord, and they cried. I saw many tears of joy and healing.

We were taken to the office which was a ten-minute drive away, which took me by surprise as I thought it should have been next to the home. We saw a very flash office building and it does not look like its rented. It is a new build and so it is a concern to me, of course, and the welfare of the children is paramount. The directors are waiting on the permit to have an NGO registered but have not got that yet.

It was not the same as the children’s home but we will pray God’s will be done. We left there feeling it was a success.

Mackay’s Caves
This Saturday, we were to fill in time before the meeting with the pastors. John took us to a place where there was a missionary. It was surreal, peaceful, and amazing. As soon as my feet touched the ground, I knew the Lord's work had been done here.

I was watching men wash their bikes and women carrying 25 litres of water in two jerry cans back home.
The children were playing in the water and filling the water jerry cans. The background was the cave and
the wall around it to protect it. but it was wonderful.

John was telling us about when the king died, the new king, Mwanga, was not happy with Christians and
was killing them. Alexander went in and hid in these caves so they could not find him. I was captivated by
this story and had to research it more, and this is what I found out about him.

Mr H.M. Stanley, the explorer, in a letter to the "Daily Telegraph," challenged Christendom to send
missionaries to Uganda. Alexander Murdoch Mackay offered his services to the Church Missionary Society
in the proposed mission to Victoria Nyanza. The offer was accepted on 26 January 1876, and he returned
to England in March. On 27 April 1876, Mackay and four other missionaries set sail in the steamship
Peshawar from Southampton. Arriving at Zanzibar on 30 May, he began his preparations for the march to
the interior, and after a long delay, caused principally through sickness, the remnant of the company that
had escaped massacre reached Uganda in November 1878. There he remained until his death, making the
district a centre for the evangelisation of Africa, and cultivating the friendship of its savage tribes. His
knowledge of practical mechanics was of immense service to him. With King Mtesa [also spelt Mutesa], he
formed a useful intimacy; but after the death of that ruler, in October 1884, he had a severe and
protracted struggle with the new king, Mwanga, who dreaded the progress of the Christian mission.
Mwanga was driven from his throne by a revolt in the autumn of 1888, and his successor, Kiwewa,
regarded the Christians with suspicion. Nevertheless, Mackay held on, despite the bloodshed by which he
was surrounded, and was always hopeful of establishing a permanent station. On 4 Feb. 1890 he caught
malaria fever, and four days later, he died at Usambara, the last survivor of the little band that set out for
Uganda in 1876. "During the whole period of nearly fourteen years," the minutes of the committee of the
Church Missionary Society for 22 April 1890 record, Mackay "never once left the shores of Africa," and for
the greater part of that time he was in Uganda itself.

The Word of God is like food to us

Jeremiah 32:17 “Ah, Sovereign LORD, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power
and outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”

Nothing is too hard for you, God can solve any problem because he is not bound by human limitations,
he’s not bound by time, God can do it in an instant what would normally take years, he sends his command
to the earth, his word runs swiftly

Psalms - 147:15 He sends his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.

He can speed up the natural process of your healing, he can accelerate your harvest of blessings so that
you will be sowing with one hand and reaping with the other
Amos 9:13a - “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when the reaper will be overtaken by the
Plowman and the planter by the one treading grapes…”

He is not limited by lack. God instructed the Israelites to leave Egypt with the silver and gold of their task
masters because the Egyptians owed them 400 years of backpay with interest. When they obeyed, He
broke the chains of their backs, and they got back everything that had been stolen from them. Whatever
Satan has taken from you, God can restore more.
Zechariah 9:12 - Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore
twice as much to you.

God is not limited by the enemy!

Last Sunday I spoke at Kingdom Reality Church Kampala,
Kingdom Reality Church was a half an hour away from where I live. I left early so I could pray in the church
before others arrived. It was lovely worship that lasted for an hour. It was a calming, solid faith church
where I felt secure. I spoke using a translator and it was good. Afterwards, Pastor Soloman asked the
people to come up for prayer, I asked if I could pray a blanket prayer over them all, but he said no and
asked if I could pray over people individually. So, I did it, and took a while. Praise the Lord! I know there
was healings and tears and mended hearts. After the service we had a photo outside with the Pastor, his
lovely wife and four children. They are truly blessed.

Ps Solomon and his family

This Sunday the Light Embassy Church, Kampala

On Sunday morning, I spoke at George’s church which is
called Light Embassy Church, Kampala. The problem was the
battle with Satan just to get there. I had prayer with Gail and
Gene beforehand to get rid of spiritual things, and I
anointed all the doors of my home.
We left home at 9:30am. Derek, the driver, had never been
there before, and he also doesn’t know his way around as
he’s from a different district. We just couldn’t find the
church even using maps. We arrived at 10:30am during
worship. We were late but it was all in God’s timing. praise
the Lord. We could not find the entrance of the church as
there is a long drive, and at the entrance of the drive were
car repairs. One had to drive down the drive and park in
amongst the cars in for repairs. The church is not identified
as a church on the outside, and it appears to be as just
another brick building.

But this church is the people’s church; it is our church, and I was very humbled by the dirt floor and the
place where the people that gathered were very hungry for the word.

Pastor George translated for me. I told them how God called me and then a few short stories of what God
has done. The theme was around scripture 1st Samuel chapter 10. verses 6, 7 and 8.
I explained it’s all about listening like Saul did, and then for us to say “your servant is listening”.

Power and glory of God was present and powerful, as they were trying to grasp it all. There is so much to
take in. I think it was live streamed too. We lost power at one point and the generator came on.

After 12pm we had questions, many good questions too. I loved the sweet presence of the Lord in all of it.

Ps George and his family

Pastor George took me to the office, which was a small brick building about 8m2 and it had several chairs
in it where we all sat around. And then it started to rain and it was coming in through the windows cracks
and door although it was shut. We all huddled together and talked about the man they believe was to
work helping me get the lord work done here in Kampala. He will start work on Wednesday the 1st
October to help me for a month’s trial.

Please pray for the finances for us as the company has just bought a car, and we are saving for the land as
well. We do need finances to get this all off the ground as well as to pay staff. Does any one of you have it
on your heart to contribute to this man’s salary? Please pray and ask the Lord about it.

Happy birthday to Ruth!!

Happy birthday to my dear
daughter Ruth, happy
birthday to you. She turned
27 years old on the 10th of
September and lives in
Sydney

Testimony: A young lawyer named John.
Here his story.

Hi my name is John. having been born into a Christian family, I always have had a heart of service and
helping those in need. I have served in church all my life, and indeed, I have seen God move mountains for
me.

My dream was to become a lawyer who would help the underprivileged. From primary school, I had the
hunger to make things right. But the path to fulfil my dreams has not been straight. After finishing high
school, I joined the University to study law in 2019. After finishing my first year, there was a COVID-19
outbreak, and I had to pause studying for a year and I resumed studies in 2021. I worked at church as a
security guard at night because I needed funds to help me at university.

While I was in my third year, my dad died. He looked after me at that time and I thought about dropping
out of school. I went into depression, but by God’s grace, I kept studying. After completing the four years
at the university, I had no hope of making it in life. That’s when my pastor connected me to Pastor
Winston, who became like a father to me. I started working as a security guard at the Gospel church
operation at night. During the day, I would volunteer as a lawyer. I started seeing my vision evolve.

My hope started coming alive. I could clearly see where I was
going. Being in a space where I was always interacting with
different cultures and races, my dream started becoming a
reality.

Fast forward, I enrolled to do a postgraduate diploma in law,
which I will finish in December.

As of today, in the field of law, I do applications for all passes,
business registrations, company registrations, passport

renewals and applications, NGOs registrations, car registrations
and other documentation. In doing this, God has opened doors
where I have met great people who have impacted my life
spiritually, and I see a move of God in it.

I desire to reach out to those who are oppressed by laws and
render justice to them.

Please would you all pray for me and ask that the Lord will
open doors.

Thanks, John Bakashaba

Sandra’s closing prayer

1 John 4:4 - You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Satan took Jesus to the pinnacle of the temple, but he couldn't push him over the edge, so use God's word to stand up to him. God is not limited by anything but doubt.

He made the axe head float; a donkey talk and a corpse come back to life after four days. You don't have a problem He can't solve, so rise, declare and decree: “Nothing is too hard for you, Lord.”

Love Sandra
